Last Friday was Lainey's 16th birthday which she spent with her girl cousins at her house. Saturday they came here for the giant M & M cookie, I make her each year and some present opening.

Yesterday I tripped as I was going down the step into my bathroom. I was able to save myself from god only knows what disaster if I had landed on the brick floor by grabbing the folding door. 22° F outside is definitely not suitably warm, and I was up way before dawn so opted to pile on more clothes, turn up the thermostat and put another log on the fire.
